Ohio State University’s Banned Books Club will host a discussion of Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye on February 23, 2026, from 6:30–7:30 PM in Room 248 of the Enarson Classroom Building (2009 Millikin Road, Columbus).
As the club’s February Book of the Month selection, Morrison’s debut novel invites readers to examine themes of race, beauty, identity, and belonging through the story of Pecola Breedlove. The discussion is part of the club’s regular monthly meetings and is open to university students as well as community members interested in thoughtful conversation around challenged and frequently banned literature.
This free, in-person event is part of the statewide Beloved: Ohio Celebrates Toni Morrison initiative.
