Join Literary Cleveland in person at Karamu House for a community celebration honoring Toni Morrison’s 95th birthday. This Cleveland kickoff gathering invites readers, writers, and community members to come together in tribute to Morrison’s life and literary legacy.
From 7:00–8:30 PM, the evening will feature an open mic community reading, where attendees are invited to share excerpts from Toni Morrison’s work as well as original writing inspired by her legacy.
Guests are also welcome to arrive early to view the livestream of the Columbus kickoff from 5:00–7:00 PM, while connecting with fellow Morrison readers and community members.
This in-person event is part of the statewide Ohio Celebrates Toni Morrison initiative and is open to all who wish to honor Morrison’s enduring impact on literature and culture.
