Spend an evening with some of the unforgettable characters from Toni Morrison’s Tar Baby and Paradise as Morrison’s words and worlds come to life in downtown Lorain.
Local actors and actresses will move throughout Jazz on Broadway in character, sharing stories shaped by love and passion, jealousy and revenge, struggle and redemption, power and resilience. Rather than a traditional book discussion, Morrison After Dark invites audiences to experience Morrison’s characters in conversation, performance, and community.
You do not have to have read Tar Baby or Paradise to participate. Come experience the stories, recognize pieces of life within them, and celebrate Toni Morrison in the community where her own story began.
The event takes place November 19 from 6:00–9:00 PM at Jazz on Broadway, 150 E. 10th St. in Lorain. The event is free and open to adults.
