Join us for an opening reception as part of the Ohio Goes to the Movies – America 250 series at Dayton Metro Library and the statewide Beloved: Ohio Celebrates Toni Morrison initiative.
This pre-screening gathering offers an opportunity to come together for reflection and conversation ahead of the evening’s film program. The reception will include a welcome from Dayton Metro Library staff, an introduction to the Ohio Goes to the Movies series, a brief overview of Toni Morrison’s life and legacy, and context for the film Beloved. Light refreshments will be provided.
The reception will take place on February 26, 2026, from 4:00–5:00 PM, at Dayton Metro Library (215 E. Third Street, Dayton, Ohio). Immediately following the reception, guests are invited to attend the screening of Beloved beginning at 5:00 PM.
Attendance is free and open to adult participants.
