FireFish Festival presents FireFish Festival – Freedom Lifts Us on September 19, 2026, on Broadway Avenue in Lorain, Ohio. Honoring Lorain native Toni Morrison and America 250, this community-wide celebration is inspired by Morrison’s words, “If you are free, you need to free somebody else.” Through art, music, movement, a parade, and public participation, the festival explores freedom as imagination, responsibility, and community. Participants are invited to celebrate the power of creativity to connect people, inspire hope, and lift us toward a more vibrant future together. This free, family-friendly event is open to all ages.
