Join Pickerington Public Library for a screening of the 1998 film Beloved, starring Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover, in honor of Toni Morrison’s birthday. Guests are invited to enjoy a slice of birthday cake as part of the celebration.
Set in 1873 Cincinnati, Ohio, Beloved follows Sethe, a mother haunted by the trauma of her enslaved past and the desperate choices she made in pursuit of freedom. Her home, possessed by a furious spirit, becomes the setting for a powerful story of grief, guilt, and redemption.
The film runs 2 hours and 52 minutes, and attendees are welcome to drop in and out as needed.
The screening will take place on February 18, 2026, from 5:00–8:00 PM, at Pickerington Public Library (201 Opportunity Way, Pickerington, Ohio). This event is free and open to adult audiences.
