Join AARP Ohio as we celebrate Black History Month and the birthday of Ohio author Toni Morrison with a virtual screening of “Toni Morrison–The Pieces I Am”. We will revisit the author’s famed books and learn about the inspiration for her writing. In the film, Morrison shares how she understood the way language could operate as an oppressive or uplifting force, and how she refused to let her words be marginalized.
