Ohioana Library Association and Zora’s House present “100 Years of Ohio Authors: 2015 – Toni Morrison and Thrity Umrigar,” a virtual discussion taking place on June 24, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Join us for an author series exploring influential books from Ohio’s past and present. Thanks to a generous grant from the Greater Columbus Arts Council, Ohioana Library is excited to present “100 Years of Ohio Authors,” an event series celebrating a century of Ohio literature. This session will explore 2015’s historic novel God Help the Child and the legacy of Toni Morrison. Contemporary author and professor Thrity Umrigar will lead the conversation, discussing Morrison’s work alongside reflections on her own book Missing Sam. This free, virtual program is open to adult participants.
